Ruben Casado Arroyo is Professor of Medicine at the Université Libre de Bruxelles and Director of the Cardiac Electrophysiology Laboratory. He also has training in epidemiology from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and a Master of Science in Health Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
Research Focus
Dr. Casado Arroyo's research focuses on translational medical cardiology, mostly in the field of cardiac arrhythmias (atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, atrial tachycardia, ventricular tachycardia, ventricular fibrillation, Brugada syndrome, long QT); and computer methods in cardiovascular image processing, computational knowledge discovery, artificial intelligence, intelligent data analysis, bio-signal processing, signal modelling, predictive models development, ehealth and mobile applications, and communications within and between hospitals. He also focuses on antithrombotic agents and bleeding complications. The innovative work of Dr. Casado Arroyo’s multidisciplinary team has been focused on the design and selection of personalised cardiovascular treatments based on the analysis and characterisation of each patient’s heart rhythm disturbance.

Goran Krstacic is a specialist in internal medicine and cardiology. He is a director of the Institute for Cardiovascular Prevention and Rehabilitation in Zagreb, Croatia. He is a professor of cardiology at the School of Medicine in Osijek and the Faculty of Dental Medicine and Health at the University of Osijek. He also graduated from Health Manager School. He was the chair of the European Society of Cardiology Working Group on e-Cardiology and a coordinator of the topic on e-Technology. He has been a board member of the European Heart Rhythm Association and the Computing in Cardiology Association.
Research Focus
Dr. Krstacic's research interests include digital health in cardiology and cardiac rehabilitation.

Aaron Peace, MD, PhD, MRCPI, FRCPEd, FESC

Bio
Dr. Peace is a graduate of Queen’s University, Belfast. After working in Royal Northshore, Sydney, he began his cardiology training through the Irish Higher Medical Training Programme for Cardiology, completing his basic training in cardiology in 2006. He was then awarded his PhD for work in the area of Platelet Function in Cardiovascular Disease funded by the Health Research Board Clinical Research Fellowship Programme, and the Irish Heart Foundation in 2009.
After completing a fellowship in Percutaneous Coronary Intervention in the world-renowned Cardiovascular Centre, Aalst, Belgium in 2011, he was a Consultant Cardiologist in Dublin. He has been a faculty member at EuroPCR, one of the main coronary intervention meetings in the world. He is widely published, has several book chapters in the field of coronary intervention and, as a result, is an invited reviewer for several major international journals. In addition, he is a Visiting Professor for the Northern Ireland Centre for Stratified Medicine, Ulster University.
