Patient Perspectives on AI for Mental Health Care: Cross-Sectional Survey Study
While most respondents reported a perceived benefit of using AI in health care, comfort with AI unsurprisingly varied based on the accuracy, transparency, and clinical application of AI (eg, reading a chest x-ray vs making a cancer diagnosis) [35]. The survey conducted by Khullar et al [35] focused on somatic applications of AI, leaving questions regarding public perceptions of AI for mental health care applications unanswered.
