Use of Smart Technology for the Early Diagnosis of Complications After Cardiac Surgery: The Box 2.0 Study Protocol

The aim of this study is to investigate the clinical effectiveness of a smart technology intervention in patients after cardiac surgery. The rationale and design of this study are presented. The Box 2.0 is a study with a prospective intervention group and a historical control group for comparison. The study is being conducted at the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery and Department of Cardiology in Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC), a tertiary care hospital in Leiden, The Netherlands.
