From 2023, the Electronic Data Exchange in Health Care Act (Wet elektronische gegevensuitwisseling in de zorg) mandates digital data exchange among health care providers. This also affects the processing of telemonitoring data. In the near future, European Health Data Space Act will also be enacted [45]. These regulations are expected to positively influence implementation and upscaling.
Finally, there are other e Health scale-up initiatives in the Netherlands.

We thank Noud van Helmond and colleagues [1] for the critical assessment of our study results.
In a number of studies, we have recently evaluated the possible value of a handy device (Viatom’s Checkme) for measuring multiple vital parameters, including cuffless blood pressure (BP) determination.
The Checkme device entered the medical domain after it was originally designed for the consumer market. This makes it very interesting and necessary to scientifically investigate its use in patients.

Two researchers independently assessed the use of Checkme by the patient, by checking the video-recorded measurements with a scoring sheet based on the principles of Gelbart et al [22] and Van Der Heide et al [23]. Thirteen steps were distinguished for the SBP measurement with the Checkme monitor.
