(D) Example of a report produced by the Cardiio smartphone app. Fingertip PPG signals were recorded for each participant by placing their index fingertip over the i Phone’s back camera for 20 seconds. Once the finger was placed in contact and illuminated by the adjacent LED flash, a continuous pulsatile PPG signal from the fingertip was detected by the camera and displayed on the bottom of the i Phone screen (Figure 1).
