Digital platforms can offer a suite of remote biometric monitoring such as continuous heart rate and oxygenation monitoring, and measurement of blood pressure and body weight via digital devices [11-13]. There is an inverse correlation between the number of B lines and oxygenation measured as the ratio of the partial pressure of arterial oxygen (Pa O2) to the fraction of inspired oxygen (Fi O2) [26]. The Pa O2/Fi O2 ratio is an integral part of the Sequential Organ Failure Assessment (SOFA) score, a score to assess and diagnose sepsis severity [14,27,28]. Elevated SOFA scores are associated with higher mortality in patients with sepsis [29].
