A Supplemental Women’s Health Questionnaire for Women Veterans With Military Environmental Exposures: Project Development and Implementation

A Supplemental Women’s Health Questionnaire for Women Veterans With Military Environmental Exposures: Project Development and Implementation

With over 2 million US women veterans, women are the fastest-growing segment of the veteran population and are projected to be 18% of the population by 2040 [1]. According to the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), women are also increasingly using VA services [1]. At various fiscal year time points, the number of women using VA services nearly doubled or tripled, while the number of men grew substantially slower over the same period [2,3].

Evaluating a Mobile Digital Therapeutic for Vasomotor and Behavioral Health Symptoms Among Women in Midlife: Randomized Controlled Trial

Evaluating a Mobile Digital Therapeutic for Vasomotor and Behavioral Health Symptoms Among Women in Midlife: Randomized Controlled Trial

As the life expectancy of women continues to rise and midlife and older women make up one of the fastest-growing employment groups, it becomes increasingly important to address the considerable impact of menopausal symptoms through effective solutions [9,10]. Despite the impact of menopausal symptoms, there has been a notable lack of research on effective and accessible interventions.

Gender Differences in X (Formerly Twitter) Use, Influence, and Engagement Among Cardiologists From the Top U.S. News Best Hospitals

Gender Differences in X (Formerly Twitter) Use, Influence, and Engagement Among Cardiologists From the Top U.S. News Best Hospitals

Women in medicine face significant barriers to compensation, career advancement, and research support, even when controlling for specialty, age, and/or clinical experience [1]. These barriers are especially pronounced in cardiology, where women comprise only 15% of practicing cardiologists and are less likely to be clinical trial leaders or present late-breaking trials at major cardiovascular conferences [2-4].

The Effects of Acupoint Stimulation Combined With Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation on Labor Pain: Protocol for a Stepped Wedge Cluster Randomized Controlled Trial

The Effects of Acupoint Stimulation Combined With Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation on Labor Pain: Protocol for a Stepped Wedge Cluster Randomized Controlled Trial

Childbirth pain is widely regarded as one of the most intense forms of pain, often cited by women as the most severe pain they have ever experienced [1]. Approximately 60% of primiparous women report experiencing severe or extremely severe labor pain [2], with 74.2% scoring 8 or higher on the pain perception scale [3]. The intensity of labor pain can lead to anxiety, fear, and tension, which in turn diminishes pain tolerance and exacerbates the cycle of pain.

Likelihood of Leveraging Augmented Reality Technology to Promote HIV Prevention and Treatment Among Adolescent Girls and Young Women in Cameroon: Cross-Sectional Survey

Likelihood of Leveraging Augmented Reality Technology to Promote HIV Prevention and Treatment Among Adolescent Girls and Young Women in Cameroon: Cross-Sectional Survey

In sub-Saharan Africa (SSA), the most vulnerable population for HIV is adolescent girls and young women [1]. Among adolescent girls and young women globally, 4 out of every 5 newly diagnosed HIV cases occur in SSA [2,3]. Cameroon, a lower-middle-income country with a population of 29 million, has the highest HIV prevalence rate in West Central Africa. Women, particularly those aged 15‐49 years, are disproportionately affected by the virus [4-7].

Development and Systematic Evaluation of a Progressive Web Application for Women With Cardiac Pain: Usability Study

Development and Systematic Evaluation of a Progressive Web Application for Women With Cardiac Pain: Usability Study

The manifestations of cardiac pain and associated symptoms contribute to substantial morbidity and impairments in health-related quality of life (HRQo L) in women [14,15]. The complex presentation of CAD in women poses a challenge for timely recognition and management of symptoms. Recent data have shown that women often delay seeking medical care when experiencing acute cardiac pain or associated symptoms, with time between symptom onset and emergency department arrival being 85 to 320 minutes [16].

Demographics and Use of an Addiction Helpline for Concerned Significant Others: Observational Study

Demographics and Use of an Addiction Helpline for Concerned Significant Others: Observational Study

The majority of the CSOs seeking support identified as women (13,980/18,373, 76.1%), with those identifying as men accounting for most of the remainder (4391/18,373, 23.9%). Callers who reported being gender nonbinary consisted of less than 1% of the sample (n=2). The vast majority of those seeking support were parents concerned about their children, accounting for 68.9% (n=1062) of the total number of those completing this question.

Mobile App–Delivered Motivational Interviewing for Women on Eating Disorder Treatment Waitlists (MI-Coach: ED): Protocol for an App Development and Pilot Evaluation

Mobile App–Delivered Motivational Interviewing for Women on Eating Disorder Treatment Waitlists (MI-Coach: ED): Protocol for an App Development and Pilot Evaluation

The MI-Coach: ED app was designed to improve motivation in women-identifying people waiting for formal ED treatment and will be pilot-tested in the province of British Columbia, Canada. Qualitative and descriptive data were collected to determine the acceptability and feasibility of the MI-Coach: ED app. Given the focus of this study on the acceptability and feasibility, rather than the efficacy, of the MI-Coach: ED app, formal analytic methods were not used to estimate the prehoc sample size.
